Compassion, Love, and support for those LIVING with cancer

When cancer enters your life, emotionally there are a variety of reactions; physically there are so many changes within your body; and spiritually you begin to pray for that miracle.

When a loved one is diagnosed there is devastation and fear.

When a friend is diagnosed there is shock and anger.

When a neighbor is diagnosed you feel sorrow and pity.

When that person is older, one who has lived their life to the fullest; you say what a good life they had.

When that person is middle aged you say they are in their prime, and still have a lot to do.

When that person is a teen or someone in their early 20's you say that they were robbed and that they have SO much to LIVE for.

When that person is a child you begin to question faith and ask why.

When you are that person all of these emotions apply.

Our mission is to become a valuable resource for those living with cancer. Our motto compassion, love and caring is true from diagnosis until remission, and all stages in between.

Through fund raising activities we are able to  assist those who are facing treatment today, as well as offer continued support to survivors.

Cancer does not discriminate based on age, or sex, or wealth, or fame.  It is a disease that touches each of us.  Social status does not matter when the disease takes over; no amount of fame or money, can prevent it nor cure it.

When a person is diagnosed with the disease, their treatments often prevent them from working or even performing the most simple tasks.  Loss of income comes into play, and the finanicial the burdens they incur, can rapidly get out of control.

Our primary focus is in Hunterdon, Somerset and Warren County, NJ and reaching out to the Lehigh Valley area of Pennsylvania.  Our largest facility to receive funds so far is Hunterdon Regional Cancer Center (Flemington NJ).  In 2006 we supported the Wellness Community in Bedminster.

Mission Statement:

It is our goal to support those facing a cancer diagnosis today, while bringing increased awareness to the community on the challenges, struggles and hardships that come with that diagnosis.
  • We will provide financial support, when necessary.
  • We will assist not only the patient, but their family, friends and care givers in handling daily routine actions, that are becoming a burden, due to treatment and the effects of treatment.
  • We will provide ongoing support, and will assist those families who are facing the loss of a loved one.
One of our missions is to create support groups so that both patients, and their caregivers, have a place to go and share their feelings, discuss what challenges they are facing, and be with others who understand where they are coming from.  It's natural for people who have learned they have cancer to feel many emotions. Anger, fear, sadness, and anxiety are common reactions to having a serious illness.  Unless you are dealing with this disease firsthand, it is difficult to understand these emotions, or help the patient deal with them.

We hope to live our motto, and get others in the community to join us spread the word about our cause.

Our Motto: Compassion, Love and Caring
  • Compassion
    • Deep awareness of the suffering of another coupled with the wish to relieve it
  • Love
    • A deep, tender, ineffable feeling of affection and solicitude toward a person, such as that arising from kinship, recognition of attractive qualities, or a sense of underlying oneness.
  • Caring
    • Attentive assistance or treatment to those in need

It is our hope that ALL patients will one day be SURVIVORS !
